Art & Intuition: An Act of Will
I needed little more than my camera for today’s contribution. We’ve had a week of gorgeous, sunny days, and the leaves and flowers that continue to hang on are worth being outside with. Stella and I planted this hydrangea near the driveway, and it blooms in a perfect purple during the summer. As autumn arrives, it deepens to this redder hue, and I am surprised by how much I like it.
For this shot, I used a glittery, handmade filter and did some compositing in Photoshop. While I mostly feel lost in the newer versions of Photoshop and Lightroom, I generally manage to retain just enough to pull off something I’m happy with.
